How the site has helped you?

Hey everyone, This thread is basically to know how you use the site. I first came across the site a few years ago and got hooked pretty fast. Then I wrecked the car 2 years ago, but still checked in on the site. Well a long story short the car is back up and running at about 85% (I still have to repaint the body kit and grill). There are a few new items that I have added since its return.

I use the site for 99.9% of my mods. Buying them from over 20 members to get the car where it is today. Im working on that list to post. Thanks to everyone.

I like to see peoples experience with new and known stuff. Also to get ideas for trouble shooting issues.

Also to see what people with te same car have done to it, and what directions they have taken there cars making them unique but tastfull

I Love the Mazda Crowd because there is a clear difference from the Honda crowd

For a little (ughdance)

Thanks for feeding my addiction, msprotege.com, Thanks a lot!
Where else can I find a large pool of like-minded obsesso-philes who can help me find new and exciting ways to tinker with my P5?

And then to help me fix what I broke...

The protege, the protege....
u gotta drive a Mazda if u in it 2 win it

Yea. I can agree with you guys as well. Is the site will have an awnser for any questions and can throw at it. Its such a great collection of people I've had the pleasure to meet both online or in person.

Also the different iteas and directions are unreal. I over look the site before going thru with any mod (no matter how rice or stupid)

This site saved me over 120 dollars on a headlight fix. Dealer was gunna charge me 160 for new cluster. Instead got it fixed for 40 elsewhere thanks to info I learned on this forum. Also Helped me with my heater only blowing lukewarm air

I started out not knowing anything about cars when I got my Protege5 in 2001. 5 years later and I can pretty much teardown and put the entire car back together without a manual. I've swapped more suspensions than I can count and rebuilt and replaced my own motors and trannies. 90% of the knowledge came from this website.

This website helped me understand specifically what would work best with my Mazdas. Difficult to find a generic car website that can give you as much information as one that is specific to that brand name. :-)

.

If not for this site, 95% of my mods would not have happened. I would also be a lot more wealthy if not for this site :D thanks mazda forums for draining my savings account! For real though, I've never came across a better community on the net. Anyone who is going to the July 20th meet in tampa with now 150+ cars knows exactly what I'm talking about. We're really lucky...

i agree, i would have never tackled the turbo project, fuel rail, springs and about 99% of the stuff i've done...it was here i read, asked stupid questions ((poke) after doing a search!) and got loads of feedback about what worked and what didn't so i wasn't making the same mistakes...and what is crazy(crazy), after 4 + yrs here, i'm actually helping others! (cool)
oh and this site has helped me spend all my fun money!

Bam, just look at my car, that's how the site has helped me! Also, I've increased my auto knowledge ten-fold. This coming from someone who knew nothing and had no intentions of ever modding his car. Thanks!

WOW I never though it would have got stickied. I really wasn't knowledgable about forums on the internet, but this site has really changed that. I could not believe how great some people are and that all steams from us owning the same car. Its really amazing. The site to me just weeds out the bs. I don't go online to get 12 million matches for a part where here i type it in here and if i can't find it fellow members point me in the right direction and share there idea's and opions.

I guess I'm just excited about having the car back and rediscovering my love for the car now that I have someone to share it with me (i'm getting married)

I bought my MSP (very last one on Oahu) at the end of 03' not knowing the potential of this turbocharged beauty nor realizing it's true exclusivity. I have since meet the local Mazda club, M-Spec through the forum and filled my brain with countless bits of useful information turning me into a true car enthusiast.

As I approach 12,500 miles, I now know what things to expect and what preventative measures to take to ensure that my MSP turns into a classic. It's nice to have learned from other people's mistakes and to get instant feedback through the forum, when needed.

this is my first and only forum i belong to and its been a very good journey for me.

I have learned about my car from what others have done, either by mistake or experiment. Finding what looks good on or in the car for each persons individual style. I coould go on and on but i'll let another member do that :)

oh, and i almost forgot....i've met a lot of really cool people with weird and funny names!(thumb)

I came here because of all the nice OEM and aftermarket parts, sold some EDM stuff to US/CAN/AUS, bought some stuff from there a.s.o. And after all the people were more than helpful for gathering infos for my site,so: I like msprotege
