I'd recommend visiting these sites.

http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/CARS/RULES/IMPORT/ShowDisplay/howToDisplay.pdf

Here are the main points:
1. Vehicle must be shipped here by a registered importer (I assume your brother isn't)
2. If the vehicles purpose is for racing, you have to obtain a letter from Honda stating the car was built for racing (I don't believe an integra was).
3. If its purpose is for show, they aren't likely to approve unless less than 500 were produced. It has to be a rare vehicle to gain any sort of consideration (I'm certain there are more than 500).
I couldn't find the reference, but even if you get approval and get the car here, there's a certain number of miles you can put on the car per year.....last time I checked I believe it was like 500 miles.

So you have a much better chance at buying a US Spec Integra and have your brother shipping you a front clip or something. There's just no way to get it here in one piece legally. You risk getting into serious trouble if you do; not to mention you'll lose the car.

Edit: If you DO happen to get a car here with no problems, let me know how you did it. LOL. I'd love to get a Mitsu Starlet.

well in order to have it shipped to the guy my brother knows the motor and interior i think have to get taken out the car to come as a rolling shell dont quote me directly cuz i still dont have all the info or money to accomplish it just yet but its going to be shipped to a guy that only deals with rhd cars he sells motors and full cars and clips he just happens to be my brother boy so however he plans on doing it or he said he can take care of everything but he cant guarantee the condition of the car that why i want my brother to help the process to make sure the car is clean. you are correct its around 500 miles a year kinda like a historic vechile as far as the clip i could do that but its harder to get the full specs like rear interior and just the little things like the rims and stuff

Question for you current MSP owners. Im heading out tomorrow to look at a 2003.5 sunlight silver MSP that has 58K miles on it. The mom&pop dealer is asking $8,700 for it....does this sound about right for that many miles and what not?

No mater how you do it, you gana be waiting to vertue car for awhile. My dads freind bought a front clip of a skyline a year and a half ago. He just got it a month Ago.

Sounds about right. Have you looked at it to see how it looks. Hopefully it wasn't molested and then you are really getting it pretty good. Offer 8.5K just to make it evenish.

How Much Can I Get For My Car???

Hey guys i'm thinking about getting rid of the msp but i'm not sure if its worth it. It's a 2003 Spicy Orange with 68k miles on it. Very well maintained. Konig Rims, MPI Intercooler, Injen Intake, Custom Exhaust, VIS CF hood, DGM CF grill and eye lids, Greddy Profec boost controller, full AWR suspension kit, Kartboy short shifter and shifter bushings, Autometer boost gauge, AEM a/f gauge, Tokico Illumina struts and tein S-tech springs. Maybe one or two other mods I can't think of right now. But I have most of the stock parts still and a MAM Street Sleeper Manifold that can be installed with some custom piping made (only reason why its not on yet). I'm looking to sell it privately and not to a dealer. Any idea what I can get for it?

put all the stock stuff back on, then sell the aftermarket stuff.

i think people would prefer to buy an unmodified car.

Yea to get the most money you would want to have a partout, then just browse Craigslist, Ebay, Autotrader, Vehix, etc. and come up with an average price to post it for.

def part out, not casue i want stuff but because i personally don't like buying other peoples projects, i see tons of mods, i stay away

What to do?

Decided to sell the MSP and I'm not sure what to do. I'm asking 10k (which I think is fairly reasonable) but no one is really hitting or they're low balling. My mods can be found here:

Should I do a partial aftermarket part out or try to sell it for what i'm asking?

I figured I'd only take off easy little things like SSAFC, W/B, Trueboost, wheels, n2mb, headunit, injectors, HID's and a few other things I have laying around and try to sell it for like 8.5k

What do you all think I should do? Trade in is like 7k and private party is 8k, people only wanna give bluebook or less regardless of the mods.

if u decide to part out i wouldnt mind the ssafc. is it the datalogging one? and i may be interested in the 2step.

also if you dont mind me asking why are you selling the msp? its sad to see another one go

Selling my 03 black mica... but more likely to trade in.. opting for a more family friendly 2010 ford fusion sport. Car has 53k on it with some minor dings and scratches and a couple scraped rims.. all stock. How much should i put it up for? and/or what do you think i would get on trade??

fwd sucks, kinda tired of it. Build for decent power and for what? No traction. Moving on to a rwd chassis. As soon as its gone more than likely getting a 7 :)

and its stupid my thread got merged, I wasn't asking for the value. I was asking what you would do but whatever. forum nazi's.
