how much would it cost to get new cross member?

I have no clue on the fitment but why are you going to replace it? is it because of rust?

yea way too much rust, especially where the bolts and nuts are located

guess its not gonna be strong even if i clean it inside out.

if they are only 80 bucks and 120 bucks front and rear, then i would just replace them.

from what i saw on the site that member is well over 80-120 bucks, and even if you could get ahold of a new one... do you understand the amount of work involved in replacing it?

based on your other thread im assuming the car is pretty rusty, i would just fix anything visable that bugs you (if you care) and if the underbody rusts away... so be it just get another mazda protege and swap parts over, theres no sense in trying to eliminate an issue that WILL NOT... i repeat WILLLLLLL NOOOOOTTTTTT go away.

and just bc murphys law is a b****, i can bet if you did spend the ungodly amount of time it would take to replace both front and rear crossmembers i can bet that as soon as you get it done and go on a test drive youll either blow your engine or your tranny or youll total your car... understand im not trying to sound like a dick but this is how life with an MSP works

i will take it to the shop to do it for sure

rear cross member are pretty easy, not sure about the front, i am only changing the lower crossmember, should be easy too

the car is in pretty good shape, except most of the under body and engine bay bolts nuts and surrounding edge of the hole is rusted badly.

i removed 50% of the rusted bolts and nuts in the engine bay, most of them turn back into original shape with overnight vinager soaking, balanced with soda, and rust painted black

cleaned most of the holes and touch painted them

theres no reason to ruin this msp. its the last stock unmoded msp in the area i can get. only 128kkm too
