how much to torque wheels?

<threadjack>
My rear left wheel seized once, couldn't get it loose trying the usual methods, but when I got new tires I assume they were finally able to get it off. Didn't get any funny looks picking the car up either.

Eh, they tend to get siezed on every now and then. Just takes a couple swift kicks to get it dislodged.

I like to put anti-seize on the lugs, but not to much. Never had a problem, been doing it for years to my own, and customer vehicles.

also a good policy, but that changes the torque specs some. Unfortunately, I have no idea what the 'wet' torque spec should be :(

I always did normal. If it still felt a little loose, then I put 5 or so more. Unless I'm at work... cuz 5 ftlbs isn't gunna make a huge differance at 500 ftlbs per nut x 10

Yea, I've done that "jumping on the bar" trick. Works ever time! ;)

Or you can take a 10 foot pole over your ratchet handle..

and for seized wheels...put a bit of grease where the wheel sits..only a tiny coat...it does wonderful things!

I always torque my nuts at ~90 lbs and never got any problems

Yea, I use the "Cross" wrench. I'll put the stick of the jack into one of the ends and use it for leverage also. :)
