This would be using budget parts, not super cross vented micro machined rotors that don't get hot and diamond embossed dustless brake-a-rama pads. (spin)

I just recently went to get new pads, rotors, and a drum clean out with a brake fluid flush and refill for like 250...

(and after 90k miles of not getting a brake job...yeah i can stop on a dime now, pretty sweet!)

I assuming it would be a little more since you have discs in back too.

Good rule of thumb is $300 for pads and rotors and new brake fluid.

Make sure to lube the slider pins with high temp grease while you are in there.

New brake fluid? I have 70k on the car, do I need to bleed them?

Please explain the slider pin grease thing.

its like changing your oil filter without changing your oil, just better to put some new juice in with the new rotors/pads...

except you need someone else to help you bleed them, right?

Not if you invest in some speed bleeders.

To the OP...contact Tri-Point http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123666895 I purchased posi-quiet ceramic pads and rotors for all four corners for approx $170 shipped to the East coast.

x2 on lubricating the slider pins.

Didn't bleed my lines and changed my pads and rotors last April (approx 15,000k). Something I should do this summer though.

88rotors on ebay.. they have slotted and drill rotors and axxis ult pads, front and rear for $200 shipped, you cant beat that.. hell i just paid $100 for the pads the other day.. id go with that and do it yourself..

Well I walked out of the part supply store with new front and rear rotors, Akebono pads, and some brake cleaner for $175 tax incl. Not bad, eh?

Well dammit all to hell, the rear calipers are locked up! I can't get the piston to go back in to allow enough room for the new pads.

I think the snow and salt probably locked them, so it looks like a I need a new pair. Any recommendations on where to find them on the cheap??? I'm thinking the same place I got the rotors and pads probably cannot be beat, though.

+1 for tripoint There great . I got a awesome deal on my slotted rotors and pads for all for corners on my es and some rotors/pads for my girls old 3 . best place for brakes . I would def do more buying from them
