How much do you think this would cost?

How much do you think a Blow-off Valve, Turbo Timer and after market exhaust would each cost for my Speed6?

Also, do you think they are all worth putting on?

Thanks.

BOV is about 300$ , turbo times you dont need because it is allready cooled down when u shut the car off and an exhasut you can go with an exhaust cutout !! unless you want noise all the time ;) and a cutout is 199$ from www.quicktimeperformance.com

What is an exhaust cutout? Sorry for being stupid. =D

Also, could you explain more why Speed6's don't need turbo timers? Just trying to pick up what I can. =D

Thanks.

Exhaust cut out is a valve (the best ones are boost controlled like wastegates) that opens and allows exhaust to bypass the restrictive stock system. I personally hate them because I want a good sound all the time (like borla) and they tend to leak.

Turbo timers will be a source of debate as long as they are around. If you read your manual it says that after going up a long hill, long drives, or particullarly hard drives you should allow your car to idle for approximatley 30sec. In these rare cases a Turbo Timer would be helpful.

Thanks for the explanations, JoeyD. So do you suggest getting a new exhaust rather than an exhaust cut out to achieve both performance increase and a nice consistent sound?

And do you suggest a blow off valve?

Well technically speaking we already have a blow off valve. And IMO the one we have is probably good for higher boost than our turbo can put out. That being said I am getting one just because I love the sound and it scares the crap out of unsuspection people.

If you want a nice consistent sound as well as performance then a cut out is not for you. Unless you do a cutout in conjunction with a catback. I have been e-mailing borla regularly trying to prod them into developing a three inch into dual 2.5inch mufflers. should produce a great sound if they ever build it.
