Come on, make up your mind. First you said it was the tree-huggers, now it's Bush's fault? (screwy)

I was making fun of you and others for blaming everything on Bush. (He's in another country... so how would it logically be Bush's fault... but I'm sure some people can "find" a way to blame it). While Bush is not a great president, I'm also not going to blame him for all the woes of this country contrary to the popular mentality these days.

(uhm) You know what TurfBurn? I'm begining to think you're responsible for these high gas prices... (wink)

Yesterday on the way to work 93 was 2.85. When I got home from work it was 3.05 and tonite it's 3.15...... Down here in Orlando btw....

I'm not getting gas. Almost all the gas stations here are out of it and will be until after the weekend. Sucks, but oh well, just can't go anywhere. It's up to around 4 bucks a gallon in some parts of SC.

am I going to have trouble getting from DC to Cincinnati and back this weekend? (uhm)

as in, pumps out of gas?

My friend is stuck in bumblefuck-nowhere, alabama right now because he drove down to florida wednesday and no gas stations had gas, so he started driving back up here and he never found a station with gas. He said there are dozens of people at gas stations and such that are just sitting there waiting on a gas truck to come through.

It's nuts.

I think it's just a matter of time 'til we start seeing a rash of car-jackings and reports of people stealing gas out of parked cars.

Overall, the situations that we are now facing are making me sick.

I'm really fired up today and I'm about to let loose (blowup)

Well I wouldn't say that I'm happy with the current prices, but I am not bitching about it. Most of us have 4 cylinder cars, and save for a hybrid we get great mileage. Also, it could be much worse: we could be in New Orleans right now. I say count your blessings: paying more for gas is nothing compared to loosing everything you own.

(not flaming, just expressing my frustration over hearing my coworkers b**** and moan all day like they were going to die if they had to pay more for gas)

3.10 for 87 here in san jose. I wouldnt complain so much if my supposed gas sipping P5 would get better than freaking 23 mpg, that means a whopping 280 miles per tank, a little after the light comes on.

Wow that's crappy.... in the Microtech and my 550's etc... I'm up around 28 or 29 on the highway now... with mild city driving I"m pulling around 23 or so..

lines at costco were hellish today. cheapest is $2.75, not really that bad, considering...

Ours went from 2.94 on tuesday to 3.31 wednesday, 3.45 on thursday and now 3.85 as of my drive home last night. I have been driving like a granny since the first big price jump. Plus opening the windows so I don't have to use the AC. I should do a search to find some cheap/free mods to get more MPG.
