OK the short shifter kit and bushings are on order and will arrive shortly..........hopefully by end of next week.

now i need a good intake system to give me some much needed horses under the hood. don't particularly like the CAI b/c i'm afraid of sucking water into my engine.

please give me some feedback on what you got, pricing and where i can find it............

Search on ebay, you can find an intake for not much over 35 bucks. It doesnt look too good but it gets the job done. You can also do a search on here by hitting th blue button at the top. Many people have asked about CAI sucking in water and it really wasnt an issue.

AEM has a short Ram, however CAI's aren't really a problem with sucking water unless you live in deep snow or a constantly flooded area.
Ractive makes both short ram and CAI's
Ebay has really cheap short rams
Injen has the cool CAI

its up to you though
Cheers,
Moose

Here's my $35 ebay intake. If you go this route, remember to check feedback.;)

BTW: One big advantage an Injen cai has over the other intakes is a CARB sticker!

Really I don't think the look of the Ebay SRI are bad??

Got mine from Sabremotorsports off of ebay for 35ish including shipping.

Link to engine pic

HP gains between a CAI and a SRI are almost the same. All depends on what you are looking for. Though some of complained that the SRI loses some low end torque but haven't notice to much.

Thanks for the feedback guys...........
there are so many intakes to choose from. any seller and brand you would recommend??????

let me get this straight. for arround 35 bucks you get those 2 shiny intake tubes WITH the filter? plus it comes required silicon connector and clamps?

I gotta get one of those if that's true, unbelievable low price! last aftermarket intake I got was a weaponR and it cost 150 shipped...

Edit: yes it's true. I just did a search on ebay, found bunch of listings, are those all made by the same company? they all look identical to me, with the blue connectors and stuff, but most cost $30-35 with the buy it now option, plus $15 shipping, so it costs arround $50, who did yall buy from for 35 shipped? thanks

Noone who has seen mine in person has ever said it didn't look good. In fact your one of the first I've heard that said it didn't look good. I personally think it looks great.
