Hello all...

Just got my 6 on 8/16 and found this forum while surfing at work...

Anyway, after reading here, I have a few questions to the modders:

1) doesn't putting aftermarket springs on your car void the warranties on them?? (in some way, shape, form or fashion?)

2) Replacing the stereo - how the hell does this work with the face plate as big as it is??

3) I saw someone who had done some headlights modding and had placed "eyelids" on the headlights, which I thought looked kick ass...anyone know where these came from??

4) Are there a lot of aftermarket products yet for the 6's?

5) Lot of body roll in the car around turns...anyone found a way to reduce this?? (sway bars,, etc)

I guess thats about it...

I enjoy the car...though, to be fair, I went from a 99 Porsche Boxster to an 04 Mazda6 auto...lol...so its still killing me a little...

Since speed isn't going to be my game anymore, obviously.....I should at least try and make it look sweeet as hell...which i will admit it does look pretty dang good already.
Hello

1.) only on the struts and future alignment needed after instal unless you purchase mazdaspeed lowering springs and have a authorized mazdaspeed dealer install them.
2.)Bondo cement...search cardomain.com for examples of this
3.)silviaparts.com...they paint every color but lapis blue(FOCKERS!)
4.)Still Growing every day!
5.)Lowering springs and the coilovers in tesing stage will help on this situation and get rid of that huge tire gap (see pict below).

what options you get apearance...sport...M-roof Bose Color?

Hey

Howdy all,

I'm new to this site, and also im a proud owner of a GS V6 GFX Mazda 6. I love it :)

Talk to you guys,

Moe.

My girl and i just picked up a 6 Sport Wagon last night, super sweet, love it. Have a 1990 Protege since new and will be going back Wed night to get me a 3 sport sedan.

BTW, 240hp Boxster to a 220hp 6 isn't all that big of a difference in speed ;)

New to the boards and the Mazda community. I just bought a 6 Sport Wagon last Friday. Currently have 50 miles on it and love it. I replaced a Saturn VUE with it and I must say, there is no comparison. Much, much happier now.

Just picked up my 6 about two weeks ago. Been driving my g/f 's 03 Protege for the past few months.

performance chip? please dont say that little resistor from ebay

Ha, another guy scammed by the hp remover chip. Man those guys on ebay are good.

The chip richens out your fuel mixture...which on older car's, gives you more power. On the 6, the car already runs pig rich. All the chip does is take away power, and endanger the longevity of your cats. If you don't believe me, look up some A/F graphs on the 6, then ask all your car buddies if a 10:1 A/F ratio is good for power...cause thats what the ebay chip gives you...all up the ass.

There are only two performance "chips" on the market right now. One's available from unichip, the others available from CP-E. Everything else is a scam.

Unichip
http://www.dastek.co.za/

Cp-E
http://www.cp-e.com/home.php

The CP-E's in a variety of cars now, and is dyno proven on multiple car's. +20 WHP, +20 ft/lbs to the wheels.

There are also programmable solutions, but most average turners wouldn't dare touch them due to the complexity and cost of such a system.

i don't buy off e-bay . . . i got mine a few months back. next level proformance is what i got, is that the same one people were selling on e-bay ?

if you guys want to see everything i got done to my car, i have a link under my sig that goes to my cardomain page.

Yup...the next level performance chip is the ebay scam. Get that off there. Its probably sucking about 8 hp from your car. Nothing like horribly rich fuel mixtures to ruin your powerband.

Do a google search on them...you'll get tons of webpages demonstrating why their solution doesn't actual give you any power...and their dyno's for the mazda 6 are from other cars...not the 6.

Its basically a fancy looking box...with a resistor inside it.

Goes along with most of those grounding kit equalizers or what not...another box with a large "Cap" inside...all full of fancy boxes n s*** to fool the consumer. I hope you didn't pay more then 5 dollars for yours :(.

Next level runs a pretty penny...lot more than ebay ones :(

I just joined this board. I bought my 2004 Mazda6 in August this year. I am happy with it but I feel that it lacks in the power department. I should have gone for a V6. I did not plan it right and got hurried by a bad salesman in buying just the standard. Nonetheless, it is a neat car.
