don't make me do this. no talk of searching, i am an underachiever.

this is what i know:

2003) no one cares

2003.5) 1000 titanium, 750 yellow

2003.64) 1000 badass blue + silver

who has the rarest of them all?
no one seems to know the breakdown of blue and silver. the guy at mazda didn't when i called and got my production # and my dealer couldn't tell me. so then i went to my mazda dealer and he didn't know either.
:wtf: badass

There were 1750 total for the Titanium/Yellows, and 1750 total for the Blue/silver. Not sure of the color ratio. The Spicy orange had 850 between US and Canada, but if you are talking about just US, then the Spicy Orange is the rarest.

EDIT: If you are sure there are 1000 blue, then that only leaves 750 for silver. I think thats gay though. The blue should have been more rare.

i was told there were only 1000 between BOTH blue and silver.
like a 600/400 split. no one seems to know for sure.

No. They had a total of 2000 for '03. 250 Orange in Canada, and 1750 in the US. Those were split 600 Orange, and 1150 Black.
Then for '03.5 they increased production by 1000 units. Total for 03.5 was 1750(yellow/titanium), total for second run(03.7 or whatever you wanna call it) was again 1750(1000 blue, and i guess the silver had 750).

time for bed. 2k3, you are up early. do you know a little something about cookies and crackers? i push poptarts. not tomorrow, i gotta get up and buy my car.

anyone think getting the 5 year / 75K mile extended warranty is worth it for $730? with all the problems i'm thinking it might be and i will definitely drive over 50K in 4 years.

hold on chief, this is how wrong information gets circulated...i said that the total number of blue models added to the total number of silver was 1000. nothing about there being 1000 blue. my guy seemed very confident that there were only 1000 total in this last run (not that this is absolute fact--i will be the first to admit this).
are you positive about the 1750 number for the blue/silver run?

Ok, I finally tracked down a qoute, and you're right, it is 1000 total for the blue/silver. I couldn't find the split on them though.

From theautochannel.com:
"Because of consumer enthusiasm for the 2003 model, production of the 2003.5 will increase from 1,750 to 2,750. The first 1,750 will be available in Titanium Grey Metallic or Blazing Yellow Mica and the remaining 1,000 will be available in Laser Blue Mica or Sunlight Silver Metallic."

Blue Me is correct. 1750 produced in '03, followed by an additional 1000 units produced in '03.5 for a total of 2750 in '03.5. Not sure of color breakdown, but damn sure of this.

All I know is Silver is ultra rare...I got my flash done at Cory Fairbanks (biggest Mazda dealer in the US) & only 1 out of 15 of their MSPs was silver. There is 1 at Classic East too. So that's like 2 out of almost 25.

what, me right? of course! your silver theory is mere speculation. i saw only one silver one at my dealer the other day, so you might be right, BUT they only had one blue one as well.

so for all we know blue could be the rarest of them all!! that's what i'm counting on. i think mazda is purposely not telling just to be dicks.

i never, ever, ever, ever thought i'd say this (former spartan), but GO BLUE!!

Anyone know how many yellow and Titanium were available in canada ?

I am guessing 250 each which would make them all equally rare as we only got oranage, yellow and titanium.

I saw the blue at the dealer showroom the other day and WOW  that paint is gorgeous! I thought it would be a lot more bright but it is friggin perfect! Ah well, the titanium is still great :D
