Its recommended that 4wd cars have a near even tyre wear.
On the Audi Quattro I had you were allowed a 3mm difference, otherwise transmission problems could occur.
Even a 2WD car has a recommendation to have the best tyres on the rear,( slightly of topic).

Continuing the 'off topic', so skip if you aren't interested, there was a long discussion here , where it seems better to have the less worn tyres on the back because of aquaplaning and potential oversteer. But some say better on front for braking in damp conditions (and other points made...)
A nagging message appears from 6000 miles. Yes, I suppose all the tyres would need replacing at similar times.
The message can be turned off, or you can alter the intervals at which it appears. You can do this in the info setup by using the info buttons on the steering wheel. I have my tyre rotation message turned off.
Yes personally I ignore the advise.

Presumably there's nothing to stop the owner doing the tyre rotation himself before the Service and saving 25 or whatever?
I personally wouldn't bother changing at 6000 miles, but the service was 180 without tyre swapping and they are therefore doing it for free.

Thanks, yes, thought there may be a method, but I don't mind keeping the tyre tread similar on the front and rear with it being AWD

Had my 2.2 AWD Sport Nav for a week. Loving it so far!
I know mazda's bound for scotland arrive at rosyth by ship. Zeebrugge is the distribution centre for mazda europe. so yes I reckon the dealer is sort of correct, but missing the zeebrugge to a port near you boat(trans-shipment I think they call it) I think mine did zeebrugge to portbury(avon) docks. car transporter from there.
My car was due 27th of July, so I thought I'd better check whether the delivery date is still current.
I was surprised to find the car is due now early and will be available to me for the 18th.
Apparently the car will come from Southampton docks, via Nordica (I think that's the ship?)

Hello Fellow Brits, first post on joining the forum and entering the Mazda Brand for first time,
Ordered CX5 2.2D SPORT at end of May with an expected delivery in time for new Reg in Sept.
took a swing at the new Meteor grey having not actually seen it on the vehicle, but hopefully it will do the car justice, as IMO it is the standout car in the class having driven most of the competition.
Also gives some cars out of the class a good run too, like the X3 which I test drove back to back with the CX5.
Looking forward to great ownership experience!?!

I have had my CX5 for just one week so it's hardly a review based on time I can give you but I have been seriously impressed so far! Smooth, effortless driving and well-equipped. As somebody who has a long history of Audi and VW this car seems to out-perform on all fronts. Looking forward to a trip to Cardiff, from my home in Yorks, at the end of July.

I'm thinking your car is coming into the southampton because of the dealer your broker used, as a car coming to a local dealer of yours would dock at hull or grimsby?
My dealer is Sandicliffe Nottingham, I bought direct in the end.

Plummed for the Meteor after seeing it on an SE-L in the showroom, looks good, does a nice job of disguising the plastic trim on the front.
Also waiting for delivery 1st Sept.

I think Meteor and Metropolitan are the same colour. Suddenly renamed in the brochure a couple of months back but looks identical. I've ordered mine in one of them!!!

No Meteor Grey is new for 2014 MY cars. Meteor is stated on my order form. ordered 20th May.
Sorry, just realised I've got 2 brochures! I must have been looking at the October 2012 version, which doesn't have Meteor Grey. The brochure in my packup with order form is the April 2013 edition, which does show this colour. My order form is dated 04/06/2013.

For some odd reason the USA add an extra year.
You will also notice a kerb weight increase, a red line increase from 5200 to 5500 rpm, and the satnav has chrome highlights.
