If anything, this car will get stored and become a project car. I won't get anywhere near what it's worth to me if I try to trade it in so why try?

I plan on keeping almost every car I buy. It's going good so far I still own my 1977 K20 Blazer. If the job keeps going well after the summer I will own an SC300 for a project car. Can you say Wooooooosh?

You are high on crack! After a few years? There won't be any of us left after a few years. There will be no market(as if there is now) No big name company is going to produce parts for a sub 4000 run production model. This has been discussed AT LENGTH before and apparently YOU didn't get the memo.
Lol, you're so full of it. Yeah, just like Greddy wouldnt make exhaust or Injen wouldnt make an intake.

I'm keeping the MSP until the 4th Gen RX-7 comes out in '06 or '07. When that happens .....

ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO ME!!!

3-4 yrs max and never another Mazda. Maybe by then the RSX Type R will be available in the US.

I'll be keeping mine for a while...I'm right out of college so there is the whole loan thing to worry about. Plus I enjoy the car and it's been relatively trouble free so far. A Mazdaspeed3 would tempt me though...we'll see what happens.

will keep it for at least 4 years... once warranty is up i'll keep the car for as long as its reliable.

It Isnt Going To Be The Mazda 3 Next I Know That For A Fact. Mazda Said The Next Speed Is Going To Be A Even Number, So Either A 6 Or A 8 For The Next Speed

last two cars I owned had 25,000 kms on them when I traded them. One was 18 months old, the other 2 yrs. I don't keep cars very long. If the speed stays problem free like it has, I'll "try" to keep it until 2006. I'm guessing the Mazdaspeed 3 will be out next summer. That might be my next car if they come out with the sedan version. otherwise, I'll keep the msp until the sedan version comes out. No sedan version? Well, maybe I'll get a 6 or trade for something else that's not Mazda. To be honest, I'm hoping Honda comes out with another prelude......I'll run away now after saying that.

I don't plan on ever selling my MSP. This car is so highly rated and praised by the automotive press, plus it is such a limited edition run, I plan on keeping it in the collection as long as possible. I honestly think this could become quite a good collector's car in 15 years or so. I know it doesn't have the same prestige as a super high end car, but I'm not expecting to use it as my retirement fund. I'm hoping to eventually (20+ years) have a fleet of 6-10 cars each which were important to the market in the time of their release, and each which were important to me at the time of purchase. I expect the MSP to always be the cheapest in the collection, but also be one of my favorites.

I'll probably use it as a daily driver for another 4-5 years (have to replace the wife's pathfinder first) then garage it when I purchase a (hopefully: new Skyline) (realistically: used 350Z convertible w/ supercharger) in 08-09. Who knows though, in 4-5 years my MSP may be falling apart and I'll be begging someone to take it.

I expect to have the MSP for a good long while. She will be my daily driver until shes paid off in a few years - then she'll probably get retired to weekend racer status.

I am so in love with this car....

(werd)

I'm jumping ship the INSTANT the RSX-R hits the 'States. I truly love my Mazdaspeed, but I've been lusting after the RSX since it was released.

I'm holding out until the next generation GTO is out and see what happens. Otherwise I could see an RX8 or some other RWD car.

selling mine now! had it since 01 so, i don't feel too bad, when i'm basically finished with one project i like to move onto the next =), oh ya i have a p5 not a msp but i decided to join in!

there are some pretty cool cars coming out with that retro look - corvette, mustang, gto... they all look pretty good IMO - a little pricey compared to msp...especially the vette. but hey, when it comes with 500 horses (crazy) , you're getting your money's worth

I have no problem paying the price if you get something for it. Honestly, I would have paid a couple thousand more for the MSP if they gave us a better engine setup, better seats, or even a FMIC. I'm sure others would have paid more for a 250hp MSP with Recaro seats and a FMIC.

a fmic and seats would be nice, but how about an ECU that doesn't suck teh donkey nuts..
