How hard is it to remove the Intake Manifold?

I was removing the EGR valve and one of the bolts snapped off. It looks to me like I need to remove the intake manifold, bore out the stub, and remove it with an ez-out.

Has any one done this? I was a competent shade-tree mechanic 30 years ago (I rebuilt my first carberetor at 16). But I'm less inclined to start removing all those hoses and the fuel injector hardware. Are there any gotcha's I need to be aware of? Should I just tow the thing to the dealer and pay them $$$$ to fix it?

It's a 1996 Protege with the 1.5 engine, and cruise control.

TIA.

its easy.....i can remove it do what i gotta do and have it back on in like an hour.....the first time ya do it, get some blue painters tape and a sharpie and mark all the wiring connections and just unhook and move outta the way....a good 1/4" socket with a 12" extenuation works well for the bolts/nuts on the bottom side of mani.....just don't forget to get a new gasket for the manifold

edit: where ya located??

I'm in California, near San Francisco. The books say drain the coolant, and relieve the fuel pressure. Do you do both of these? They also say to put on new O-rings when re-installing the injectors. Also necessary?

You dont have to drain the coolant, as there are 2 little hoses that go through the throttle body, just stick some old spark plugs in them so it doesnt leak out. The relieve fuel pressure, you can just crack the fuel line and let is bleed out.
