How far did you have to travel for your MS3?

I live in WNY and I will be purchasing a used MS3 after the first of the year. I have been looking for a bit now, and rarely do they come my way. Maybe 3-4 a year. There are some good deals about 200 miles from me in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

I'll probably have to drive far to get one.

Have any of you gone 150+ miles to get your car?

Did you find it a hassle if you bought it in a different state?

Would like to hear your stories. Thanks!!

I was prepared to drive 100 miles. When I started shopping, I thought there were four dealers within that range, but only one (the local store) had a CWP. One dealer had gone under, one was not a Speed dealer, and the other distant location had no CWPs in stock. There were no CWPs within 300 miles, so I bought mine locally (25 miles away).

You may have a bit of a sales tax hassle with an out-of-state purchase. I live so close to Georgia, the dealers there are used to Floridians driving across the state line to purchase cars, so they're accustomed to dealing with that. Georgia gets a piece of the tax and Florida gets a piece. The dealers handle the registration chores, too.

I had to travel about 45 minutes away to buy mine and when I purchased they had my prefered color combo but only in the Sport. I continue to bring it to them since I liked their service department and am more comfortable bringing it to a place that knows the cars.

Wow! You found a dealer who knows the car? From what I've read here, that's a rare jewel. I've been back to my dealer once: to take care of the audio system TSB.

My friend drove me 300 miles to get my used '08 Cosmic Blue GT.

I didn't go far, but I did have to wait. Mine is the only MS3 that was for sale in the state of Arkansas, and they weren't looking to get anymore anytime soon.

I drove about 45 miles across state lines to get the color/trim I wanted. Sales tax shouldn't be an issue; I paid it when I licensed it in my home state.

good luck finding yours.

I just bought mine yesterday and drove 150 miles one way to get to where there were 3 at various dealers across the MPLS/St Paul area. Would have preferred a GT in black but that one was another 6 hours away and may have not liked it when I got there. Felt happy there were even a few to choose from.

yea i drove about 120 miles. Great fun on the trip back! Kinda sucks for the person who has to drive u there tho

I live in New Hampshire, my parents live in Colorado. There was 1 Speed3 GT in New England according to MazdaUSA.com and that dealer was being a prick, so I went to Colorado where a dealer had 5 on their lot and they cut me a really good deal. 2,001 miles... hehe.
