Post a little summary of the procedure you use to wash your car, or what products do you use.

I do the standard, car wash liquid in water mix, I first wet the car, then I wash it with a sponge, wash the soap of and dry it.

I bought some kind of shine, but It did not work...

wet, lather, rinse, repeat.........j/k

handwash, depends on how much of a hurry im in, but i use all eagle one stuff and then i make sure shes all nice and dry when im done.

take off clothes....
crack open alcoholic beverage....

put 6 quarters in the machine.....

Try to do this in a cool place out of the sun, keeps the water from drying too fast.

1) Fill bug with Soap and Water
2) Wet whole car
3) Use soft brush to clean wheels and side skirts
4) Rinse of wheels
5) Wet small area you wish to wash, i start on the roof and move down
6) Use sponge/wash mitt to clean small sections of the car
7) Rinse
8) Repeat til car is fully washed
9) Dry with shammy cloth
10) Add shiny products (Wax, Tire shine, etc...)

well, I wash my car every week, and I'm lazy most of the time. so I use Mr. Clean auto dry. It works really well for just a quick clean. But every 3rd week I do an actual wash with car wash liquid and water in a bucket, and then wax after. No matter what I use to wash the car I use my black majic tire foam and spray...cause even if I don't do an amazing job washing the car, the tire shine just makes it look so clean. Also, every 3rd week that I do the actual hardcore washing/drying/waxing I also clean the interior by vacuuming, dusting and if it calls for it washing the dash(using a mild soap water mix, then drying and buffing). Keeps the car looking clean all over:D.

All i use wheni was my car is dish soap. works great and its cheap and its soft on the hads lol. On my car i got the extra coating of paint sealant which protects the paint from the sun, tree sap, bird crap and some other stuff. so they recommend no waxing at all. at least for 5 years i believe.

Please tell me you are joking. NEVER use dish soap. Don't listen to the dealer about the paint stuff, wax that b****!

My methods.

Vaccuum and clean interior (using dust mop and brushes for vents)
Rinse car.
Fill bucket w/soapy water.
Using wash mitt, wash roof, windshied, back window and A-C pillars on both sides.
Rinse.
Dump and refill bucket.
Wash hood and trunk.
Rinse.
Dump and refill bucket.
Wash side (top->down).
Rinse.
Dump and refill bucket.
Wash other side.
Rinse.
Dump and refill bucket.
Wash front and back bumpers.
Rinse.
Dump and refill bucket.
Wash wheels with brush.
Final Rinse.
Dry tires w/bad rag and apply tire shine.
Dry quickly w/water blade.
Follow up w/microfiber towel and quick detailer (QD) type product on entire body.
Open doors, hood, trunk and clean all jams.
One more coat of tire s***.
Hand detail each wheel with a terry cloth and some QD.
Lay under car and clean sway bars (cmon, they are red and visible, make em clean) and polish muffler/exhaust w/ s/s polish.
Admire the beauty and watch it RAIN

Thats a pretty intense cycle man. I do the open doors and hood and trunk when I do my good wash every 3rd week, aswell as hand dry and detail everything...and when I do the auto dry I usually give her a once over a detail any areas I didn't quite hit right or whatever. I always detail the rims and do the tire shine...anyone who has used tire shine can tell you, it makes a world of difference in how the car looks(and if you use black majic it smells like cherry):D

wet car first
scrub with a wash mitt, top to bottom.
rinse thorougly
then dry with a nice clean shammy.
apply the usual shine products.

oh, i always wash my car at the oddest hours.. like midnite or 2am.

It is a spray that supposedly suspends dirt (it "pulls it off the car and into the rag kinda), so you can remove stuff like pollen, etc for a day or two after washing.

I like to use it on the rag I am drying with as it makes the paint pop a bit more, much more intese metallic (as long as a good coat of wax is still there).

Try spitting monkey, or shining monkey something tire shine. It works great and doesn't fly off that easily, and no brown tires!!

On our car especially. The lip on the stock wheels reflects sun when clean, and wet tires just set it off perfectly.

wash only one side at a time as stated above.... with what ever car wash product i can get my hands on... then try and use as much elbow grease and a soft sponge (damn paint) to get off the road grime on the front (mostly bugs... nasty mofos!!) then dry it all with chamios rag
then on to the mothers 3 step process... god damn it takes a long time, but holy s*** is it worth it!! it looks oh so sweet, and you won't believe the shiat that lil clay bar pulls out after you wash it... and the carnuba wax (gotta get the cake shiat don't be a wussy and get the liquid) smells oh so sweet!!! then onto the wheels and tires, gotta use either the mothers wheel cleaner or the castrol and have to use black magic on the wheels for that sweet shine!!!

granted i only do that about every couple months...the rest of the time i just use mr clean auto dry and do the wheels and tires...

I do just about the same thing, but I don't dump the bucket everytime I rinse my mitt. I have a separate bucket with clean water in it for rinsing the mitt or rag. That way I don't end up with dirt in my soap bucket.

Yes, it waxes all the dirt on your car that it didn't get off during the wash.
