I am in the process of troubleshooting my sound system and I eliminated the HU to to be the cause today, now I'm wanting to check the amp. I have the Bose system on my 2010 i-touring and I'm over my warranty. The problem that is happening is that my speakers are getting interference from somewhere.
About 2 weeks ago, my speakers would stop working in rotating intervals and then they eventually just started a loud pulsating noise through all of the speakers. The noise has been known to continue even after the keys are out of the ignition so I disconnected the HU. I plugged the unit back in after about a week and it was still there, but showed up in random moments. There was no music playing as well. I switched the stock unit with an aftermarket one(I followed some write ups on another site) and the problem was a little more controlled, in that the pulsating almost disappeared, but comes backs here and there and in more of a once or twice pop noise, however music was able to play.
Any help, or information pertaining to my problem and, or, troubleshooting amps, or just learning how to temporarily connect an aftermarket amp to the stock HU would be much appreciated.
