what all do people use to clean bug guts off your car? namely, off the hood. that's one bad thing about texas......

I use a clay bar to bugs and smudges off... works quite well on bumpers, hoods, and mirrors.

I go with the georgia guy. Bugs here in the south will **** your car up... I been using turtle wax bug and tar s*** does not work...

Have you followed the directions? Letting it soak for a bit? If you don't it won't work at all.

well i started off using Meguiar's scratch-x...i used to swear by it but I have since found out that my paint is single stage cuz when i use it(very mild abrasive) the rag turns yellow(paint!!!)

Since then Ive been keeping a nice 3-4 coat thick layer of wax, and a good scrubbing with the washclotch while washing the car seems to work great :D

bug & tar remover, works great, the only problem is that you also remove the wax on that area as well.

thats a BIG problem, when the rest of your car has like 3-4 coats(boom01)

hehe, the question was how to get bugs off your car, not how to take the paint off your car (laugh)

i have a 1400PSI washer.. that thing will not take anything off its not powerful enough lol

i used to work for a VW dealership and we always took dryer sheets and got them wet and then rubbed at the bug spots and they buffed right off no problem. still do it today and it works graeat

turtle wax bug and tar remover huh? i'll have to try that out.

red devil p5 - when you say dryer sheets, what exactly do you mean?

exactly that, you know the bounce dryer sheets to stop static and stuff. just get it wet with warm water and rub lightly but hard enough to get it off
