So I was just wondering if any of you have any good insight regarding the crossreference of our parts and the parts of Mazda's 2.0 engines of the past. I know that they have been throwing these in their cars since around 1993 or so in their mx-3, mx-6, 323, etc... I realize that the electronics and computer have all been changed out since '96, but what about all of the other mechanical parts? Also, are their any differences in half-shafts, or even such performance parts as a short-shifter? let's say i wanted a short-shifter, technically, the bearings and shifter should all be the same from the mazda 323 of '93. Is that right? Does anyone know the exacts about all of this stuff? Thanks so much
