How do you use your car?

So I was hauling ass up a slimy dirt road with a carful of s***-talking friends and a roof full of bikes today, and somehow I kinda just got to wondering how everyone here drives? Me, I'm prettymuch designated adenture taxi. I'm sure this would terrify some, possibly many in here, but honestly for me, this is why I got the car I did. Why have room for 4ppl and gear if you're not gonna use it?

This is summer mode. Need to mess with my bikestacking a bit better as I generally prefer to fit 4. Winter generally means boards and boots,etc... And here is the very reason why I needed to fiberglass my sub box. How else are you supposed to fit wheels and dirty shoes/extra clothes back there?

I use my car to get me wherever I want to go. People who b**** about "you put too many miles on the car" are gay.

Couldn't agree with you more my man...

I should go take a pic of the disaster area left inside... I swear my friends would make excellent livestock. *shrug* that's what neoprene seatcovers and car-vacs are for, eH?

tru. I use my car for delevry too. and I hate those ppl who say why take your car too, you are wasteing your gas. WTF?! Am i pouring the gas on the ground or burning it? no I am ******* useing the gas i bought in the car i enjoy driving. So how am i wasteing it?

I hear ya, my car is pretty much the taxi and moving car. Anyone who needs larger objects moved because it won't fit in their sedan give me a call. Maybe I should start charging people so I can save up for a turbo.:)

Mine is a kiddo hauler and a 150 mile a day commuter, but if I take the kid seats out it looks brand new! Except for the drivers seat which has some wear and the cargo area carpet. I think the car is damn clean for 40K-of course it's not a year old yet!

i drive mine to and from work. i dont put too many miles on it, because anytime i go somewhere far we normally take the truck with more room, and since my wife cant drive a 5spd and i wont let her smoke or let the dogs in my car...well it really narrows the times we drive in it together.

I use my car for work, and college. I dont usually take my ride out at nigth and if i do is just for show i never leave her alone. This is Puerto Rico baby they steal ur mom if u dont keep ur eyes on her. Oh and a little street racing here and ther...

I do everything in my car, haul boxes, deliver pizzas, drive like a maniac when needed... I stopped caring about mileage a while back. To and from work and school. Then I also baby my car and show it at shows...

my car is my econo-commuter go to work (3 days a week) go to school(3 days a week) i dont do much driving in that sence its alot of the misc. driving that racks up the miles the pointless trips to bestbuy circuit city, cruising becuase i have nothing better to do...just hit 13000 2 days ago an its only 10months old

you're right. i have no kids, never haul people, and it only gets city driving a few miles a day. What was I thinking buying such a stylish, sporty little wagon just because i liked the way it looks...

;)

I bought the P5 as a second car. Take the dog places, run around town, etc. It will be my winter car since the BMW is not good in the snow. Plus the gas milage is much better than the other cars we have.

funny that this thread is here, I was thinking the same thing befor I got my p5.
my car before this was a GTI, and i knew I was growing out if it. I use my p5 for all types of hauling, DJ Equiptment (2xSampson DB500A speakers) Computers and servers, moving furniture (rear seats removed) for friends and family,
The p5 has turned out to be such a versatile car, its small enough to fit like a glove and handle great, but big enough to take 4 adults & cargo, whereever i need to go...

Well i gonna have 16000 miles on it in about 2 weeks and i drive the car to work 4 days a week totalling about 25 miles round trip each day. on days off i usually go to friends and hang out. i gotta say this car has less miles then my old protege had first year i had it.most of the people that see the car tell me "cool color" and thats true i got the car cuz of the color and got a good deal on it too. i am so happy that i got the car on its last year of production cuz i think the mazda 3s are crap and ugly. so far i only have one problem with the car and it pisses me off. the paint on these cars seems to be extremely thin. last year at halloween an egg hit the hood and i see the marks from it also at almost one year of driving it i see lots of tiny paint chip marks on the driver side of the car (the driver side faces passing by traffic on my busy street). im seriously thinking about going to the dealer and showing them this crap. my friend has a 8 year old chevy malibu black color with 80k miles on it and he has less paint chips then mine and his street is just a busy and dirtier then mine. what do you guys think?

Anyone care to comment on my paint problem can also check out the attached pic. the pic was taken after i washed the car so everything is clean and those spots are not dirt. also the big door bump on the molding i got there thanx to a careless asshole at my work 3 days after i got the car.

You're not the only one with thin paint, I hear lots of people complain about it, but I don't think the dealer fixes it for you. I've heard it's something do to with new EPA regulations with the paint. Guess its just tough luck for us. btw, I disagree about the Mazda 3 being ugly crap. I happen to like it a lot, but to each his own.
