How do I remove the plastic strip on my upper grille?

yeah, if you dont want to risk anythign just mask. it'll take a little longer and extra care but you can get very similar results.

somone on the canada forums the dealer uses a "l-shape" tool to get it off. no breaks.

i wedged a flathead screwdriver in there. 2 breaks =(

ok, apparently im a huge dumbass

can u post a pic of where u put the screwdriver or whatever...i just am not quite clear on this, lol

hmm, i said it on the how-to. but i guess its vague:

5 snaps hold it in place, they are pictured below. For removal I used a screwdriver but broke the left female snap and the middle male part. 2 broken pieces out of 10 aint bad but still. A member of mpsport.net recommends using a L-shape tool to pop it off. Whatever you use, ust work slowly and all should be fine.

open your hood. looking at it straight down...pop a flat head into the crack between the strip and grill.

i think it would work better if you had two people slowly yank at the same time on oppostie sides to release all the snaps at once.

i dunno the "correct" technique..i just wanted to do it and did it my way.

anyoen more knowledgable about removal please post.

well lemme say that it was a b****. I pulled so freaking hard, and wedged screwdrivers in it. And Snap! What a f'n waste that was. I'm just going to do what Derrick did. Don't do it Dreeza!
