How do I paint my spoiler?

Hey,
I want to get a spoiler for my car, because I don't really like the looks of the back of it. I can either get one for about $50 unpainted or $130 painted. I wanted to try and paint it myself, but wasn't sure if it would be worth it. I don't mind spending the time and labor on this, but I don't want it to look like s***. Someone said I could get the paint to match my car's color for about $30, and then for another $5 a local paint shop would put it into a bottle for me to spray onto my car. Does this all sound about right? And what exactky do I have to do to make it work? Thanks in advance for anyone's help.

airguns, proper paint, and all types of buffers will make a different, plus they can fix any overspary on the spot

Damn. I knew it wasn't as easy as I thought. Any idea on what kind of cost a shop would charge if I provided the paint? Maybe I'm better off buying it painted.
