How do I adjust my idle?

I want to raise my idle up a few RPM's, but after going through a Shop manual, it looks like there is no way to do it. Is it completely controled by the computer or is there something I can do?

yep, there is a way. It's a screw somewhere near the throttle body that is attached to a wire (from what I remember). Try to find something like that on the shop manual or your car.

I do remember seeing it in the shop manual (I think), but in any case I remember there being a thread about it. Maybe a search is in order :D (if you want more details)

Just out of curiousity, why do you want to adjust your idle?

I found it.. thanks. Um, the reason I want to do it is because I put on adjustable cam gears and after fine tuning them to find the right position, my car wouldn't want to keep an idle. I know it's a timing problem, but this is a quick fix till I get everything else put in and take it in for timing correction. I just increased my idle RPM to keep it from dying at an intersection. Pretty annoying.

Lol!.. yea, and staring at it scratching my head didn't do it either. I got the cams from SR Motorsports and the Adjustable Cam gears from TriPoint Engineering.
