How can you mathematically figure the 0-60 from an HP/Torque gain?

I know it's not 100% precise but lets say we go by Mazda's 5.4 secs 0-60 time at Mazda's 263 Hp 280ft lb torque. And we add 24Hp and 24ft lb torque making 283 HP and 304 ft lb torque.

How can you mathematically shave off the 0-60 time as accurately as possible?

Mazda's time is 5.4? I've seen 5.9-6.0 for independant tests.

283/304 0-60? 5.9 seconds

400hp/500tq 0-60? 5.9 seconds.


The limiting factor for 0-60 is traction.

Mazda has been saying 5.4 since launch.
Maybe it was 5.6 but they were def saying something around 5.4-5.6
I'm just curious what the "official" 0-60 would be now.

Well It was originally on mazdausa right there on the mazdaspeed 3 homepage...
It's gone now.
It was big white letters across the picture of the mazdaspeed 3.
They must have retracted that statement.

Now I feel completely stupid but I'll take it to my grave I saw it :-(
