though and you'll see I was replying and quoting the guy who said he doesn't question things until the 40 day mark. also he said he always uses paypal, so that answers the part about it depending on what method he uses to pay.

if he's sending payment immediately and doesn't even question it until 40 days into it, he's allowing someone else to float his money. whether it's $2 or $2000 for someone who claims to buy a lot on-line, this potentially has cost him a nice chunk of money.

anyway, i'm not trying to be a turd here, just wanted to point out to joka something that he might have been overlooking in his own transactions.

as for Nomad who sent $150 in payment a week ago and hasn't received the part, I can see how it might not arrive in the first week, but the upsetting part is that the seller has been avoiding communication. by the end of two weeks I would at the very least expect a tracking number and if not, would start the process to get my money back via paypal.

Damn I missed this dis on me......... 1 week is understandable IMO, 2 weeks i need some feedback and a reason, 3 weeks I threaten to put in a claim and I need a tracking # asap!! 40 days later I file the claim.

Dont think I let somthing go for 40 days with no communication!! I deal alot with overseas s*** wether it be me oversea or the shipper and s*** happens. 1 week w/o anything I would not get scared (like I stated in my first post!!)

OK I am done explaining myself........IMO if you posted my personal info for not shipping after 6 days I would be pissed off and hold off as well...... Yes I ship once the paypal clears but some people need to wait the 3-4 days for the paypal to clear their bank before they can afford to ship the part!
Anyway holpfully everything works out

Rob

BTW credit cards w/paypal is the s***!! double protection and as stated above if you pay it off each month you are not losing s***!

OK, so here's the ending:
After I got paypal involved he started getting back on track.
He shipped the cylinder head and I received it yesterday.
The head was CRACKED.
Ugh. How did I know...

But there is a happy ending.
He's now being really responsive and helpful. He's actually refunded the money and all is done.
In the end, he's a good guy, but too busy. Maybe we both learned a lesson though.

Thanks for helping me keep my cool!
