i have a 03 spicy orange mica mazda protge. Currently i have a K&N air filter in it and am going to change my oil to royal purple sometime this week. I have read many threads on how to increase psi and if it is safe or not. I want to install a blitz dtt-dc II turbo timer. I also want to know if intalling a blitz boost controler is wise being that i have read that with out fuel mods i could fry my engine. I am 16 and an amature with cars. I would like to know what controler would be best and if i would need a different waste gate if so what kind. Also if a bilts blow off vaulve would be smart,and would it fit? I have also heard that injen makes a cool air intake for the car but it is just the cone on the end of the stock piping is this true? and if so is it a good mod. Thank all of you in advance for your help and i hope to hear from you to help me modify my car.

The car will run the fuel fine at even 8 PSI but not many have run over that for long. After 8 many turbp guys believe the T25 turbo on the MSp will be throwing out just extreamly hot air thus not being worth the boost increase. Other disagree.
The Injen is actualy a very nice unit, well worth it.
The MSP is the opnly protege that can correctly control the fuel its all the other regualr proteges with turbo kits that can not.

If you are unsure of something reasearch the hell out of it and dont try any do it yourself install on it for the first time. I cry myslef to sleep with the memories of the dumb ass things I did to my Integra and MX-6.

hahah hell ya. like you- i know s*** about workin underneeth the hood but if u poke ur ahead around in this forum for a while u atleast begin to see whats possible and how stuff works. leave it stock for awhile until u get a good feel for the feeling of these upgrades through months of readin threads

Becuase no matter what you do a car it just is never the same. You can add a turbo but the extra noises, reliability issues not to mention the draw backs of installing anything will always knaw at me. Even te slightest scratch or mis alignment that is related kind of pisses me off. Its like you had a great car to start but for some stupid reason you got board and wanted to beter it then once you do that you realize its notthe same car it used to be.

Even with audio, I have gone crazy high line many times and always more or something different. A turbos the same way. You can buy a kit for $3500 but for the marginal power increase its not worth it plus you have to add atlest another $1000 to get it where you really want it and the circle of bulls*** becomes an addictin till you get sick of it then eventualy get a new car and do the same s*** all over.

Thats why my new plan was to get a car with no aftermarket support I can barely afford so that the temptation to alter will hopefully be supressed.

Oh yeah! My buddy was in pursuit in that sweet Civic Si (everyone saw in the pictures), but no; he couldn't hang. I came out of a blinder - a sweet downhill left hander, right into the trap. I had no chance. If they make me pay; it will cost me $172.00. Oh well. Yes; the Passport went off. He triggered his gun - instant on KA band, as he came over the rise ahead of me. He, no doubt, saw how fast I was coming through that corner. The MAZDASPEED was hooked up.

so should i add the boost controler with a blowoff vaulve or not, would it be wise? how bould i get it to run cool air since you say it would only run hot air? and would a better waste gate help? if so what kind.

how many miles do you have on your car?

i woudnt mod it until you get a fair amount of miles, and all the slight bugs that might show up get fixed. just my opinion though, i guess im a pussy

The one I have listed here.......And; I strongly suggest using a support bracket for the intake tubing. I will link you to my thread......
