I'm gonna tease some more: why would you want that hood if you have a turbo?

That hood would work if you had the HiBoost. Correct me if Im wrong? And call me stupid while your at it

since it has an opening in that spot, it creates a ram effect on the intake side of the turbo (blows air right onto the filter) at least the hiboost-like setup, and the setup which im going to have. MORE COLD AIR! hehe

and its still available, DGM makes that hood. Its available at corksport.com I think

i am honestly thinkin after i turbo non -intercooled, when i do upgrade to intercooled, do a top mount with small hood scoop.. everyone has SMIC OR FMIC, i want to be differant...

that would be nice, but dont you get more power outta FMIC rather than TMIC? Isnt that the reason why subbie guys switch to FMIC from TMIC?

Actually, the hood is designed so that the scoop feeds directly to an airbox and a short ram intake. You'd have to do some modding/cutting to get it to work with another intake system, turbo or otherwise.

Besides, ramming air into a filter while you're running an FI setup is kinda useless.

edit: the hood is still pure sex, though. :D

actually you dont have to mod, filter from intake pipe on the compressor side is sitting right next to the opening in the hood, so its all gewd!

we are in the same boat.. i found the scoop i want on a riced out protege, the hood looks good, but the rest of the car isnt my style..

the SLP hood was made in my town. Their site was www.slppowerproducts.com but it doesn't seem to work now. A while back a local dude bought 10 of them and was about to sell them for $250 CAD on our forum (I saw Qidan from this forum on the list) but he turned his back and put them on ebay for $650 I guess thats when it was going out of business. Oh damn were people pissed. Anyways the hood was functional allowed air in but no water. I personally saw one in a local store very well made almost OEM.
