Hood Scoop or CF?

I am taking a small poll of opinions
I recently got my p5 tinted and also a nice scratch across the hood during the process. The guys at the tinting spot on Webster Ave in Bronx, NY were good enough to admit their wrong doing, and were willing to paint it for me since they do some bodywork in the back of the shop. I was skeptical (for good reason...no spray booth) but reluctantly let them proceed. After getting the car back I noticed that there was specs of sediment in the paint, the guy did his thing and got alot of it out. Now while he did a fairly good job, I am critical, so I am not happy with the few errors I see. A trusted bodyshop of mine said it would be around $450 to strip and do properly.

My thoughts are that maybe that money is better spent on a new hood.

Hood Scoop hood, must be painted but if I ever resell, I dont have to explain to the person that CF is lighter and give them a song and dance about the benefits of being lighter.... plus while CF is cool, I dont want the fast boy look on my car, and a hood scoop hood is sorta discreet even on non wrx subarus...

so i am looking for opinions, best price links and some stories from experience if you care to share...

go cf, who cares about reselling. if it ever comes down to selling it you could always trade your cf hood off for an OEM one.

go back to the original shop and get them to do it right. if they can't do it right have them pay for it. if they admitted fault, it's their responsibility to get it looking like it was before they mucked it up.
