Hood locks instead of pins?

Oh, I should mention that the pin must be perfectly straight. Otherwise you will risk snapping the roll pins on the lock part after a while. If installed properly they should work without a factory latch, but why not just keep it.

No sorry. But you can try contacting Ricecookerp5 on TOprotege.com who now owns that hood. I'm sure he might have some, or can snap a few.

Thanks man, I'd just like to see what's up with the bottom of the hood and how that part worked out... it seems to me like you have to cut away a lot of the bracing since the threaded part of the lock isn't long enough to go through both. I see where I am going to attach the posts to the frame, and I see where the bottom of the hood is flat enough for the lock assembly, but the fact that I might have to drill almost a 2" hole in the bottom bracing of the hood to allow the threaded part of the lock to catch concerns me.

Bah, I might just go over to speedlab on monday and see what they would want for the install. I just hate taking my car anywhere for work when I could do it myself. I really don't want a ****** up hood though, especially since they don't make it anymore.

i'd keep the stock latch if i were you.... so u don't make the same mistake i make and forget to latch the pins........ and have your hood shoot up at you when you're going 55mph
