I couldn't find much info about this topic, so I thought I would start a new thread to see what you guys think.
I want to get rid of my stock latch for my CF hood, and I really hate the look of hood pins. I have seen hood locks that use a nice looking flush mounted solex lock, but it seems like people only use them for security purposes in addition to the stock latch.
My question is does anybody here know of anyone using these locks to actually hold down a hood by themselves?
Also, can anybody see any reason why these wouldn't work as good as hood pins?
Thanks in advance for any input, I really think these would look a lot better than pins:
