Honest Opinion on Draxes Exhaust Noise Level

geeeez am i the first one to respond that has the draxas exhaust. well let me tell you. i got the system with the highflow cat. at first and it is a good sounding system,its not extreemly loud but you can definently hear it. at 65 in 5th gear ya you can still here it. but the benefit of the system is being able to get the header as well. i have had the header for 2 weeks now and it is fricken awsome. incredible hp increas that you can feel and it is loud as s***. you can cruse at 65 in 5th and and have the radio up to 20 (stock) and still hear the exhaust loud and cleer. and the other thing is that it is not ricy at all it kind sounds inbetween a boxor motor and the exhaust note from a srt4. it this didn't answer your question from experince nothing will

P.S. the reason that the exhaust isn't loud, along with other systems is because of the catilic converter in the exhaust flang. that can be taken out withe the new header.

I'm going to hold off on purchasing anything at the moment until I get the data I need. All the information here is great but still doesn't tackle the root question. Maybe I need to rephrase it or reiterate it.

Let's say you are crusing at 65 mph in 5th gear. Is the sound from your exhaust noticable?

Personally...I think just my CAI is overly loud at times.

It doesn't sound too loud at all. If you get the high flow cat do you have to do any cutting?

cutting? If you mean on the stock exhaust then the answer is yes.. You replace any of the stock exhaust and it has to be cut. check out the instructions on the Draxas web site.

Without high flow cat. I beleive they call this option 1 at Draxas. You cut the pipe six inches past the cat. Dynos indiacte the high flow cat with the header increase the WHP by quite a bit......I just did not want to mess with that much. I alos installed the Umnitza/Simota SRI.
