how come when something stupid and funny comes along it has to do a lot with hondas?

So i was driving home from the bike shop until I hit traffic. Bumper to bumper, stop and go, stop and go. So, i'm cruising minding my own business and this car gets behind me.4-6 miles along he's constantly on my ass, I brake check his ass and he gets pissed :mad:. And i'm like HaHa (upyours) you ******. High beaming me and moving close to the other lane like he wants to pass me or something. The freeway goes faster to where he can speed up and he goes to the far right lane and passes me, just so he can get two cars ahead of me. (I was in the far left lane, freeway carries about 4 lanes). Turns out it was a two door accord.
:wtf: was I to do. I had a freaking bike rack along with traffic and he wanted to play around. How lame can that be, acting like an (butt) in traffic.

This guy was without a question acting like an ass, but do not blame it on the fact that he owns a honda. I know you are just venting and wanted to share your story and all, but i infact used to drive a honda civic and i loved that car. also many of my friends drive hondas, preludes, integras, civics, etc and none of us act/acted like that. i am just tired of people hating on hondas b/c of a few drivers that happen to drive a honda. i have had plenty of encounters with people like you just described that were driving cars other than a honda and i have encountered some that drive hondas. Its the same with mustangs, alot of people hate mustangs and mustang drivers b/c of how a couple of people who drive mustangs. well thats the end of my venting have a nice day

yeah i agree. just two days ago, some honda passed me after the road turned into 4 lanes, then held with me upto a light turning red. He ran the red light to show me something? (he had altezzas, gold trim, muffler, s*** like that), then i caught upto him and passed him. he had gotten a ticket!! I then proceeded to rev my engine as i passed

i mean im not saying that all hondas are like that because your right any car can do that. But c'mon I had a bike rack in traffic and all that was not worth my time. And for him to get pissed because i broke then do get all up my ass i would do that to any car that drives so close to me in stop n go traffic. I had lots of encounters with hondas. I dont do s*** dont even care to look at the car and they rev their engines and gun it thinking they are all fast and s*** and its nothing but stock.

and yes it is common with hondas. especially here in california. I rarely get incounters with mustangs or any other type of american car. And barely Nissan's all they do is just stare at the car. But hondas im at the light and a civic is turning and he gunning it, trying to show off what he's got. I mean sorry to offend you but its the truth and anyone on this board can tell you that it happens mostly with hondas.

I agree with Gyre that there are soo many hondas out there, that they stand out. and dont get me wrong in your situation i would be just like you. I am not trying to say that there are not a lot of honda drivers out there that act like complete morons b/c there are a ton of them that do!! I am not trying to deny that, but to me it just seems like alot of people hate on Hondas themselves instead of the person driving the car. Which leads to stereotyping and saying that if you drive a Honda then you are automatically an ass and drive a slow POS that will never amount to anything which i strongly dissagree with. I am not trying to start up a big arguement or debate here, and i am also not trying to put you or anyone down and i am sorry if it is coming across that way. I just do not like the fact that people are stereotyping all hondas and honda drivers.

Like XMP5 said it is wrong to place all Honda drivers into that category. No matter what car manufacturer you support there are always those drivers that push the envelope and fit a "ricer stereotype." Unfortunately Honda's are the most popular cars among young enthusiasts and there is a greater population of these kind of morons. Like Newf said, just move over and let them do their ricer fly-by.

It's these kind of people that ruin it for the rest of us who act normally on the roads. Everytime I take out my Prelude I get pulled over for something because I am associated with that "crowd."

I wish there was something you could buy and put in your rearview window and type messages like "Get off my ass idiot", and "Haha you stupid Ricer", and "Your car sounds like a pissed off bumble bee". One of those scrolling signs or something you can program in stuff on. That would be sweet .

I agree that any driver can be a real idiot any given day but in general Honda/Acura I've seen their drivers do more jerkish things out there (I'm not including SUV drivers, they're the worst).

I've never had a BMW or Bentz road rage against me but I've had several road rage incidents with Hondas and Acuras. Not once that I can remember with a Mitsu or Subaru or even a Toyota. I've seen Lexus GS300 (or was it GS400?) drivers that are agressive but I've never seen them road rage.

The other day on I-80 East (this is NJ) in the express lanes I saw a Porsche Carrera and an Acura Legend going at it, probably doing 95mph+ in a crowded roadway, zigging in and out (both of them were jerks). When the Carrera hit a stretch of clear and free road, boom, it was gone and the Acura was left behind looking stupid (and he was stupid - what was the idiot thinking, racing a Porsche?). Must be something about Hondas and Acuras that make the driver think they can do anything.

IM not making it a big deal with what this car was doing, I had to do what i had to do which is brake check his ass, because like i said i would do it to any car if its a benz or a pinto. No matter what they will always be some asshole thinking that his car is the s*** and always has to prove himself. And your right Mark94 with always people thinking that your car is with that crowd because it happened to me with this car. First day with no license plate cuz it was new off the lot , i got pulled over. I was barely learning how to drive stick and he pulled me over just because he saw my bright car and figured it was in that catagory. And it sucks and we have to deal with it.
And im sorry to offend anyone. But this was just a lil story to not make it a debate.

Sorry that it all ended up in a debate i did not mean for that to happen My friend who drives a Toyota MR2 got sick of people tailgating him so he installed some really bright foglights in his back window and whenever someone gets on his ass he flips the switch and turns on the lights......im not saying its a smart or wise thing to do but it is pretty funny

Here's another thing that works:
If an idiot starts tailgating and hibeaming you and stuff, just start your windshield washer and wiper and he'll get sprayed. It's another way to make 'em back off and also to get back at 'em. It really works!!

Well, I don't have a story of dumbass drivers but, with this thread about honda hating I thought this was funny... last night I was coming home from work and I saw this POS early 90 style escort with a stupid wing and it sounded like a "pissed off bumble bee" with a vanity plate stating " F Honda". Anyway, I just laughed once I saw it cause I'm not much of a honda guy either, there's just too many of them!!! Anyway, on with my day at work!

not to be an a$$ mark but my intention was not grammer or spelling it was merly to let everyone know that i am tired of hearing the old hondas suck story again why cant anyone just admit that they arent that bad is it just because hondas are easy to knock simply because....well there hondas, no i think the fact that some of these so called "lame asses" can kick the s*** out of your and most other cars. hey i have an idea why dont you guys start knocking on mustangs they are numbered high on the road and they too sometimes drive like assholes or is it the fact that the manufacturer of that car also manufactures your car too (mazda drivers)dont get me wrong i have nothing against mustangs or even ford for that matter nor have i ever owned a honda but i can also admitt that maybe they can be just a little better than what most people will admitt to themselves. so whats the deal here can you just get over it or are you going to be pissed off forever, let it go.
