Just finished refinishing the barrel on my rifle after shortening it and hard-soldering an M-16 style flash suppressor on it. It's also got an M-4 stock on it as well as several custom parts in the works such as a more efficent safety selector. The rifle BTW, is a Korean (Daewoo) DR200 which is a sort of cross between an M-16, a Kalashnikov, and a Belgian FAL. It's a really solidly designed and built weapon that performs as well or better than anything else in the world at what it was designed for.
The pistol is a Sig Sauer P-229 (Pre ban) with Hi-cap mags and nite sights. Since the picture I've fitted a Match barrel to it but other than that there's nothing that needs to be done.
I do all my own gunsmithing work, and I used to shoot for a living. Since then I shoot off and on quite a bit, sometimes several hundred rounds a week. It's a good clean sport that challenges the mind and body and teaches dicipline. My next project is going to be either a Remington 700 in a caliber suitable for large game, or another pistol, (a .45 like an STI).
