Does the high flow cat that comes on these hinder performance any? Is it not an option to get it without the Cat? I think this is gonna be my exhaust of choice as soon as i get my MSP.

I think with either one you cannot go wrong. HP gain either way. Maybe it would depend on what psi ur runnin. Probably the FMIC. Anybody else wanna chime in on that.

I would go with the exhaust first. The FMIC will cool better but you still have the major exhaust flow problem. I think you will see more gains with the exhaust also. I put mine on the dyno before and after at stock boost and got really nice gains. I have the sheets if you want to take a look at them.

I just grinded the collars down till they cleared it.

I've got a Vibrant and those clips don't really convey how deep the tone is. Unlike the typical ricer fart can, my exhaust is loud out of necessity, rather than being loud for the hell of it. Frankly, it's a little loud for my tastes, and this is coming from a guy with a 1979 462 c.i. T/A that sets off car alarms a block away. Even with the silencer I'd like it a few dB quieter that what it is for daily driving, but at least it's a very high quality sound. You won't be disappointed with it. Other than the minor installation headache at the s-pipe connection, it's a very well made product and should outlast the car.
