Holiday Bonuses?? anyone??

I got $2500.00 this year.
I was hella suprised. I got 1000.00 last year but my boss is an amazing person and her knows my wife and I just had our first baby and are trying to buy a house.
I can't complain about anything.
We all need to be thankful (at least i know i do) this season and through the years to come.
the avg. yearly income in the entire world is less than $3000.00.see stats if you like

We should, and do, enjoy our lives to the fullest but keep it in perspective.

i'm getting 2 days off and 4 days paid.

in the end it works out to about 400 bones.

i was so excited i bought a ticket to florida for spring break since i hadnt planned on this money in my budgeting.

Yeah, as others have said...bonnus, whats that?

What pisses me off is my finace's mother just moved down here a couple months ago and she's been working for this company for less than two months and her Christmas bonus was $1000(shocked)

^^^ Company must've gone public like mine did. (piss)

b-i-n-g-o!

when you go public, all that matters is the almighty buck. Screw happy profitable workers, they are a dime a dozen.

I should be a CEO...LOL

my company mado.

get them in burn them out, get rid of them! We are a billion dollar comapny that can't pay its employees crap! no bonuses un less you are pretty high up there on the food chain of business. I have been here for 4 years and even brought 20+ in business to the company ( i am a designer/developer, only suppose to take money not bring it in). ANd they are having trouble getting me more that 5.5% raise. I almost paid half of my salary last year and they can't get me a 15% raise.

ASSES I tell You ASSESSSSSSSSSSS!

Oh and i also helped the Senior VP secure a 500,000 dollar contract that i will be working on for 05. they need to get their priorities straight! ASSESSSSSSSS

My bonus is the company is going to stay in business a couple more months. I make less than I used to, with no raise, let alone a bonus, in over 4 years. And my out of pocket health care almost doubled in cost.

Maybe 2005 companies will start hiring again in the tech sector (in my area).
