msp2fast said:Does anybody have a hiboost fmic with a hks ssqv? I wanted to know if its a straight bolt on to the hiboost fmic or do i have to buy the mounting flanges?same with the rs.any input would be greatly appreciated!
mspHtown said:i ordered my hiboost directly from juan and i upgraded from the hks to the rs (so the pipe he sent had a greddy flange). i assume that if you order directly from juan he will send the pipe with the correct flange.
msp2fast said:By "Juan" you mean directly through Hiboost right(been away from the forum for a while,im in iraq)How's the RS setup?I really want to get rid of the turkey also are u running a stock bpv?
mspHtown said:yea thats what i meant, directly through hiboost. i like the sound of the rs and i have never had any problems with it. i am running the dual bpv/bov setup. the rs bov is on the throttle body pipe and the stock bpv is on the hot pipe. i rarely get turkey and i have to be at low rpm and blow off to get any at all.
if you have any more questions dont hesitate to ask!
msp2fast said:Thanks for the info mspHtown!Im going to be heading back home from iraq in a couple of months so im planning on ordering parts before i leave so i can hopefully get my hands on them as soon as i get home(im inpatient when it comes to parts for my car).Anyway,so u still running the stock bpv?im geting the unichip ecm so il probably be boosting somewhere between 10to12psi im wondering if the stock bpv has to be upgraded!

I am putting this exact setup on my car on friday.
Did you need to take a spring out of the rs?
can you tell me the adjustments you had to do to get the blowoff right?.
where did you tap in for your vac-nipple?
thanks doug.

5.Greddy type rs bov
6.PG intake manifold
7.Awr mounts
8.Magnecore 8mm wires
9.Unorthodox Crank pulley
10.Apexi turbo timer
11.Jdm Cams

15.Autometer Boost,A/F,Oil press,and water temp gauges
Any other mods I should consider, before upgrading Turbo and internals?
mspHtown said:MAM doesnt make the tubular manifold anymore so that is a no go. I wouldnt bother getting an underdrive pulley. If your not dead set on the apexi turbo timer you can pick up a greddy one for 70 bucks at turboimport.com. i oughta pick up atleast the awr front motor mount before you get anything else. it will help a ton with the wheel hop!
EnjoyMinuteMaid said:I wouldn't get the corksport exhaust either. Instead, I would look into getting the midpipe from ProtegeGarage (w/ or w/out the high flow cat) and getting whatever catback exhaust you want. The corksport metal is very thin and has problems with cracking. It is not simply solved with stiffer motor mounts.
EnjoyMinuteMaid said:oh the s+j pipes are great, its the rest of the exhaust thats miserable (in my opinion). If you want the best you can buy at this point, get the vibrant exhaust . Unfortunately it will replace the j pipe you already have (but thats not the expensive part anyway). You can also look into the Perrin exhaust. Do some searches, many exhausts will mate up to the corksport s+j pipe.
