HKS Exhaust

Hi guys,

I just joined the forum and thought I'd share my latest mod.
HKS website: http://www.hks-power.co.jp/en/product_db/muffler/db/15592

The exhaust is super light. About half the weight of the factory exhaust. Noise levels are surprisingly quiet. I generally don't like carbon fiber exhaust tips, but I think in this case it looks quiet nice with my red car.

My exhaust seems a lot quieter in the car than the HKS sound clip shows. I can only hear it during heavy throttle.

Hey that sounds quite nice, not overly harsh. I shouldn't be surprised, HKS makes great sounding exhausts. Can you tell me if there is any highway droning? Any idea how much weight you saved? My mod list may be getting longer (drive2)

It is super light, only 4.9kg. I'm not sure how much stock one weighs but it is at least double. I haven't driven on highways much yet, but no drone at accelerating to 100km.

Very nice. Sounds good on the diesel. I wonder how it sounds on petrol engines. I presume much louder.

Very nice, I like how the tips go out past the bumper. The C/S (gasoline) exhaust tips don't. lol @ video's porno music. Kind of disappointed by the sound though, that thing needs a aftermarket blow off valve. Would definitely consider this as I just talked to the dealer today about the diesel CX-5 (they were calling me asking if I was interested in trading in lol).

I want the HKS exhaust but its too quiet...Is there even and HKS for the petrol? The Corksport sounds bad ass...

^ It's a diesel so by default it would be quieter than a petrol engine's exhaust... It will most certainly be louder on a petrol engine.

I like the look of the exhaust but seems quiet compared to corksport. heres a pic of my custom HKS exhaust ;)
