so i got out of work last night after working a 13 hour double shift. already tired from having to work the night before and then waking up in a few hours to work a double. so i'm driving home and i'm half asleep and end up hitting the curb :(

the right front wheel isnt straight at all now and there is a definate grinding and rubbing noise. i'm having her towed to the dealer and getting it fixed there.

i'm not a car experts so if you guys could give me some info on what could be wrong so i could be more informed on whether or not the dealer is trying to rip me off that would me most helpful. thanks :(

Doesn't sound too bad. You probably bent your control arm and/or the tie rod. It is possible the tire/rim may also need replacement.

you just bent something there, and it probaby will cost you at least $700 to fix it

They probably means $700 Canadian. I don't think it would be much more than $500 US if a shop does it. The parts aren't that expensive....probably under $300.

I hit a curb in the winter in my old LX Pro and it was just the rim that got bent...everything else was ok. However, right after I hit the curb, the steering wheel shook at any speed over 30 km/h and got worse if I drove any faster. I'm not sure if the wheel didn't look straight or not. I also needed an new alignment after that.

Anyway, the cost to fix that was under $400 CDN, done by a dealership.

i had hit a curb six years ago, and one wheel got bent, then the shop charge me about $900.00 CAD to fix, and it took like a month to fix too.

I hit a curb right on (not even sideways ) once ( long story ).. i wasn't going real fast but the whole wheel got bent all the way back and it woukdn't even turn at all afterwards.

Cost me a tablet and arm + alligment.. 300$ CDN for parts 300$ for labor. not that bad considering it looked absolutly terrible :)... also cost me 400$ more ( CDN ) for the stupid racing hart rim tough.
