Mazda 3 Sport Hatch
So i have a set of 55w 8000k HID's installed on my mazda 3 hatch and they are by DDM tuning and i have the wireing harness too. and for some reason only the right side low beam comes on and the left side comes on after i turn it off and on like 20 times. How is the wiring harness hook up???? theres 2 ground wires do they both go to battery?? and do i need to bump up my main headlight fuse from a 40 to a 80? cause Ive checked everything with the HIDs themself and tested them and the ballast and light bulbs work fine when i take them off and get them checked. so i have no clue what is wrong lease help!

is this a PnP system? Can you take some photos? My system was complete PnP. The stock harness went to the ballast box. The ballast had a connector with 3 wires that split out and connected to the 3 wires off the back of the HID bulb.

You may have a bad ground, the connector may need to be unplugged and re-plugged back in. If none of this works, the manufactures give a 1 year warranty, the one ballast may not be working correctly. To test this, swap the ballast boxes from the side of the car thats working, and try it on the other side. See if you have the same problem, if you do, then contact the seller/manufacture, and get the ballast replaced.

Hope this helps.

If PnP means "plug and play" then yes it is. and as far as testing the ballast ive done everything you've mentioned so i'm asumeing i have the wiring harness in wrong or a fuse needs to be pumped up in amps. as far as pictures go this is what the wiring harness looks like. It has a black and red ground. so do both need to be hooked u to the batt or one to ground? cause i have the neg hooked up to the batt and the black grounded right now and that left low beam dosnt turn on until i turn on my lights on and off 20 times.

try running the black wire from the harness to the battery, and see if that changes anything.

There should not be two grounds. The red wire is not a ground...it is a positive. The red goes to the positive post on your battery, and the black can either go on the negative or you can attach it to the frame of the car.

you get a better ground connection if you can run the harness wire to the battery.

ahhhh i see. so i can hook the black ground up to the battery as well cause i have it grounded to the chasis now and have the red connected to the battery. but maybe im not getting a good ground. let me try connecting both ends to the battery.

well i hooked the ground up to my negative battery and they fired up. but im gunna check it again at night cause they seem to not want to turn on at night everytime so we'll see. but if this fails i have no clue what it could be??!!

if its fails means that the power running on the factory wiring is not stronger which means u gonna have to do a relays system on both headlights. i had to do that in my 2000ES
