6k is what most people have. 7 k isnt bad either. 8k is too blue for my taste. just remember the blue you go, the less visibility you have during rain especially.

6k is probably the most preferred, from what ive seen.

6K is the best compromise if you want to have a bit of a blue tinge but still maintain your visibility.

4300K - 6000K is a good range. I've got 6K and I love em.

i was just thinkin like the white ones u see on cars that come with stock hids...

im so very indecisive... which is why i cant decide on a new stereo...rims, springs,or lights... :( too much extra money i guess.

i have 6k in my car right now. i think they are not blue enough but everybody else think they look just fine. maybe ive just gotten used to them after two years...

I have 7000k on my car. It gives off a blue with a hint of purple. I like how it reflects on the street signs. If I ever replace it I will go to 6000k so I can get more blue.

Anyone experience any problems with the extra heat given off by the HID bulbs, also does it put any strain on the battery? Curiousity because I have some beat in my car and would hate to place an added load on my battery. Also what happens to the stock headlight harness?

Actually...HID's give off less heat than the stock halogen bulbs. I don't think you're going to have an issue with the HID kit pulling too much power. If you're worried I would get an Optima battery.

I'm still interested if anyone can tell me how the Hid ballast and control module connect to the stock wiring harness and if it doesn't how do you turn it on? Most of this is stuff I am worried about as i consider converting to Hid, and would like to keep the install as easy as humanly possible...

all of the HID kits for our cars are plug and play. cut and dry.

factory harness into the Ballast connector and then pop the other wire with the bulb on it into the headlamp.

correct me if im wrong anyone.
