be prepared to not have the ability to see as much at night with those bulbs, that's really going to be a cosmetic addition instead of functionality. and i believe that the reason behind the manual saying go to a dealer is the amount of power involved with the bulbs and mazda not wanting a lawsuit. i would say try it yourself anyway, just make sure no jokesters are in your car waiting to flip the switch on while you're holding the wiring. you could be extra safe by taking the ground off the battery, mazda says to do that anyway. they even say to remove power before changing out the cabin air filter
