HID conversion Vs. Bulbs

The HID will just replace the low beam not the high beam. The higher the K the less lumens they put out. 3K=yellow 4k=white 5k=very white 6k=blueish 8k=deep blue 10+k=purple. On my evo they are 4.3k from the factory, I'm upgradeing the bulbs to a 8k because i like the color of the light better, it looks way different then 4.3k.

yeah i guess it'd be pointless to use the highbeam if you're on hids

Helios HID kits are great for the price. I'm very satisfied with the kit I bought.

HID's are fantastic when properly installed. For now, my Silverstars have held up for over a year in both headlight and foglight. An overall improvement over halogen.

hids are a nice upgrade, might be somethin i do later on down the road (prob get a 6500K kit) but for now im happy with my 4000K bulbs. much better than stockers

Save your money and get HIDs. The difference between them is so dramatic that i'd never go back to a regular bulb. MY fiances car has regular bulbs and i feel like i can't see anything when i drive her car.

So if I were to combine best color with best light output... 6500k would be the best?

I have a 4.3k in my car stock and they look good but i want them to look different so I'm getting 8k bulbs, I also want to do a 3k foglight kit so they will be yellow. The 8k's on the p5 look fantastic!

Personally, I think the 8k's look like complete ass on my car.... lol, I was over them the second they were put in... (bike)
