hiboost

The only place I've seen it is at the dealer or if your lucky, you can find one at the junkyard. Ebay sometimes has some kits but ur gonna have to kinda buy it in pieces. I think the dealer sells the whole kit for 4500.

IMHO, I'd say just get the Hi-Boost. That's what I'm planning on doing as soon as I got the $$$.

don't overlook MAM...to ea their own, just consider them all!

the lentech tranny is a great idea but have we had much success with them? Trav (deckedoutmp5) was talking about it for awhile and got frustrated with them about something that they couldn't do or they couldn't make work and didn't go any further. this may have been worked out by now but its something to check out.

Trav hit 174whp on three cylinders with an auto and the HiBoost kit (the 3 cyl thing wasn't HiBoost's fault) when he dyno'd it. he played with it a bit too much though (like others are warning you against) and popped his motor before it could all work itself out. I'd prolly either go HiBoost or MAM vs. the MSP upgrade, just because you can get better matched stuff versus going for less power and mismatched parts without a warranty...
200whp @ 8psi is obviously possible but you'd need some supporting mods and matched parts to get the right combo...

Yea I've looked into both and I think I'm leaning towards Hi-boost. Still trying to do a little more on MAM though. Does anyone here have that kit for an auto and how do they like it?

i'm installing an aftermarket cooler in the spring...i have a 02 so no manualmatic mode for me...i'll drop it in 2 when i need to and then let off the gas and slide it into drive, then eventually overdrive...it's a blast!:) i do wish i had the stick but it's nice when i'm in heavy traffic not having to push that clutch in all day!!(thumb)

i did iy myself, it wasn't that difficult at all...i had a few issues the downpipe and i need to relocate the air intake becaus it wouldn't fit where it was design to go because of the auto tranny....but other than that the install was easy, but time consuming...i was in no rush...i did it over the winter last year...did the guages...oil press, boost and a/f, MAM mide pipe......if you can use the basic mechanix,s tools, you're golden!

And wut about the O2 sensor. When I did my wagner shorty header it stripped the threads on the O2 and I had to pay 175 for a new one compared to 275 from the dealer. Did you have any probs with them and did you have that removal tool?

i was looking at the hiboost kit too but for about 100HP I rather not spend 3 big bills as I can use that to pay off other things but mam kit looks nice also
