Mazda2 Sport
Another newbie here on this forum. Just picked a 2012 Mazda2 for my daughter. It's a certified used in true red. Hope to be able to contribute some in this forum. I have been in the automotive business for close to 25 years from a being a BMW tech to a service director at a Honda dealership.

Also it does rain in So. CA. Lot's of rain the last two days.(hi)

Lol on the rain. It feels like arizona here this week, cold as hell at night and clear blue skies during the day.

Any fun plans for her car?

Well nothing motor wise but would like to improve the handling possibly although I'm surprised how well it handles in stock form. I really haven't looked into it but possibly anti-roll bars and maybe some springs as long as it's not too low. Does the Mazda2 have adjustable camber settings or does aftermarket springs require some sort of camber kit if aftermarket lowering springs are installed to get back into proper specs?

Should be able to get well within spec on factory stuff once lowered. Welcome, and have fun with the car! (Or you know, atleast when your daughter isn't driving it)

I've got the racing beat spring kit (lowers ~.75 inches), mild front swaybar and torsion bar (corksport), and adjustable dampers (corksport). The handling is light years ahead of the factory setup, and the damper adjustability allows a ride much better than stock that can really waken up with the twist of a knob. I drive my daughters to daycare in it. Oh, and you'll find parts for the 2 are practically free compared to BMW stuff.
