Hey guys, getting my winter tire package together? i see some guys run 18s or 17s?

I am planning on 17s since they are cheaper and usually smaller wheel, better snow traction. Im getting them studded as well. It will be a 17.7x5 rim, is there any problems with brake clearing? I would think Tirerack would say its a nonfit if true, but i want to hear from the owners.

I run 17" without a problem.

I run Sport Edition F7 with Blizzak DM-V1 tires.

They were cheap and fit well. A little close on the front, and I think I have some discoloration on the inside from heating the rim up too much.
