mazda protege LX 2002
does anyone know what kind of paint i would use the paint my engine cover on a mazda protege5?

Plastic engine cover from MP3? Use Krylon Fusion[tm].

Aluminium valve cover? Use primer and high temp engine paint and finish with clearcoat. Note: a black sharpie[tm] is great for highlighting the letters (and lasts for about a year between touch ups).

You can get engine paint with a slight texture, almost like spray on bed liner but not as bumpy, then sand the paint off the letters, and Dremel [tm], polish till their purty. With some of that stuff you don't need primer, just get any grease oil off real good. VHT [tm], Krylon [tm], Dupli-color [tm], all make products for this in different colors. Looks tough IMO [tm]!!!(rockon)(lol2)

^meh. It looks spiffy and if i saw one in the garbage i would fish it out and clean it up and install it. I don't plan to buy one...
