Hesitation under acceleration

I just replaced the fuel pump/filter assembly on my 1999 Protege 1.6L. I replaced it cause I had a hestitation under acceleration and @ idle. Now it is only under hard acceleration. 40% not as noticeable. Does anyone have any other ideas?

When was the last time you changed the spark plugs? Perhaps it's time to replace them.

I'm having the same issue. Have you looking to you ignition coil??
Me? I changed my spark plugs, repleced fuel filter, cleaned the fuel injectors but still a bit noticable.
Now I think the problem is ignition coil(s).
I'm looking to replace em but I'm in a dilema. They say they fit 99-03 models but can anyone tell me the difference between these 2 item besides the price??

Maybe try to clean your MAF and EGR valve to see if that fix your problem?
