Hesitation during startup

My car for a while now has been hesitating during startup but STARTS!!!. This only happens on occasion. But then starts up like there is no tomorrow. At first I thought it could be the sparky's...but that can't be since we are running iridium and at 22k that shouldn't be a problem. My dealer is asking for codes but I don't have any. I am cool with my dealer and all but they also suggested that it could be my fuel injectors. I was just wondering if any of you had any thoughts.

Let me guess.
It starts up, ramps up to about 2K then just dies.
PURGE VALVE SOLENOID!!!
Take it to the stealership and have them test it and they will replace it.
I, along with some others had the same issue.
 
Um no Express, this car has already had that issue taken care the first month of purchase back in Nov of 06. I am not stupid.

Anyway, this car has seen nothing but Chevron 93 octane, battery was checked at the dealer today and turned out fine. Next is to clean out injectors which I will be doing saturday. Hope this fixes this issue. I also just changed out the cone filter on my CAI. Will have to ask about the fuel filter. Didn't think of that one. I hope its not the fuel pump, but even if it was wouldn't I throw a code?
 
maybe, and if it is... get the upgraded one.

sometimes mine will do that but its when its warmed up and it doesnt go up in rpms like cold start. I think it may be my cai filter, since at start up there is no flow in the tube and takes a bit more to get the air flowing through it if its dirty. I would be suprised if it was the plugs...even the pump
 
lol, no Clos, to be honest I don't think I will be modding this car anymore. I'm thinking of purchasing the forge valve and that would be about it. I still have my EMS, trying to sell it but haven't had anyone actually pick it up yet. If not I guess i will wait for the PNP connectors from Jordan when ever the hell that comes out. But for now, I'm done.

That does make sense though about the CAI, but like I said I replaced it. Didn't even bother cleaning the original, just bough another...hehe
 
Honestly your not describing your problem well at all. It hesitates to start is all I got from you. So is it cranking slow, fast, not cranking at all for a split second giving you a hesitation. You should probably catch it doing it a post a video so we can see what your talking about. A one off problem diagnosis over the internet is next to impossible especially with how little information you provided.
 
Honestly, what else do I need to explain. When I crank, it turns pauses and then starts. I cannot record it b/c I don't think you will be able to hear the problem. Now that you mention the cranking slow part, at times it does take some time to turn when I crank. Maybe 2 to 3 seconds.

Ill put it to you this way, its like when you have the standback installed. The car sort of hesistates before it actually turns completely. BUt in this case there is no standback and it is a little bit more of a hesitation.

Is that enough information for you? BTW, I was not asking for a diagnosis, I was asking for thoughts.

hey knowlege i know a guy who has the turboxs h-m bov and its sounds BADASS!! thats the one i'm getting you should check it out
 
Hehe, I don't want to spend another 200+ for a BOV, just going to go the safe route with the forge BPV. Laloosh assured me that he is holding 18psi, so that should do. Besides I going to have my parents get it for me since they can't figure out what to get me for christmas.

is that what that is it has just started happening to me on and off, only on cold mornings. (california cold 50 degrees or so). does warranty cover this?
 
I wasent throughing a cell and had this problem for 7 months or so.
but I dont think its knowledge007's problem.
