well yesterday i was on my way to houston, cruising along at about 70, then all of a sudden my car has a total loss of power...feels as though it just downshifts all on its own...all cel, battery, oil, lights just start blinking on and off...so i try to merge over the the right lane. Then it Shifts back up all on its own, seems to fix itself. Then about 15 seconds later it does it again. so i exit and park and shut it off...check all fluids and belts nothing seems wrong....i try to turn it back on and it just clicks...i put in neutral and it turns on right away...cel was still on...my baby made it 45 miles all the way back to beaumont without another problem, except the cel is still on...n e one have a clue on the problem??? Ill probably take it in to mazda tomorrow but just wanted to be prepared for n e thing they might tell me...thanks

Alternator or ECU maybe a small leak from all the recent rain got to the ECU???

Get the cel code read at Autozone to start. If you have big bass jamming I know mine will stall out just sitting at idle or if I depress the clutch too quickly on decel. Most of my problem is no Capacitor and heatsoak from turbo on real hot days.

yeah ill do that today after work...i hope its nothing too bad...just kinda cautious...only way to turn it on is in neutral...i forgot to mention i have a auto sport shift...dont know if that has any thing to do with it

looks like you were right shane. my ecu was damaged, but mazda is covering it so thats cool

Glad to hear it's covered!! That doesn't happen much, mostly due to mods of any kind related or unrelated.

yeah i know...and i have an aem sri and they didnt even mention it, i was a little worried they would try and hassle me.

I threw my warranty out the window at 24k miles with my Hiboost kit. Luckily I have been able to fix what ever small problems occasionally arose myself as they always do with a modded turbo vehicle.
