Assumin that your have the 2WD, it looks like it is near the transmission/torqueConverter.

it is the AWD. Does that mean it is something else? Do you know what the fluid is or what they will do to repair it?

taking to dealer tomorrow.

What color is the fluid?

black/gray. turns out it was the Transfer case and they replaced it under warranty. seems to be a known issue as they had the part in stock.
