Help with Gauges

So I was looking to getting gauges, but I have no idea where to start. I know i like the CPE triple gauge pod but thats as far as i got. What do i need to know, when should is the latest i should do gauges, and how hard is the install?

Block8head makes an awesome single (and now a double) vent gauge pod. I have the single with a Prosport electric boost gauge and I love it. It looks completely OEM and is in the perfect spot to see. Also retains the functionality of the vent.
